UPDATE: The earlier style bumper conversion completed.

We are absolutely thrilled to offer this exceptional 1974 Jaguar E-type Series 3 V-12 Roadster. This wonderful Jaguar XKE was built on March 15th of 1974 and the original date of dispatch was March 28 of 1974. It is currently refinished in its original color combination of Silver with new Dark Blue leather interior. The Heritage Certificate is included and confirms that this is a matching numbers Jaguar E-type Roadster in its original color combination. We purchased this special Jaguar from the family of the same owner of nearly 40 years late in 2022. He purchased the car on 3/24/1984 from which we understand to be the original owner with 56,000 miles. The current original mileage is 64,851 miles (about 1,600 miles a year). The previous owner was fastidious about the maintenance of this car as he kept all service invoices going back to 1984 with the corresponding mileage listed. Furthermore, he has the car repainted in its gorgeous original color of Silver and has the interior reupholstered with new leather, carpeting and interior kit in the original Dark Blue color. Other cosmetic additions included new chrome wire wheels.

We have since gone through this entire car investing over $23,000.00 in mechanical and cosmetic improvements with all work done by E-type V-12 specialists. All work is detailed in the invoice in the gallery, but some of the highlights include but not limited to a new Dark Blue stay fast Robbins (cloth) soft top with a matching convertible top boot also in cloth. Also, we removed the rear cage and dropped the rear end (rear suspension) to replace hub bearings, stub axle U-joints and install new driveshaft U-joints. We installed a new complete stainless steel exhaust system. In addition, we installed a new heater fan, resistor and heater core. We repaired the Air conditioning with all three speeds of the AC working and the temperature blowing at 41.7 degrees Fahrenheit. Furthermore, we went through all the wiring and switches on this Jaguar. All lights were gone through and are working as they should. A new trunk kit was installed as well. The front shocks were replaced also. We did a full oil service and lubricated all grease fittings throughout. A new alternator and brand new cooling fans were installed as well.  As we do with all our cars, we did a compression test on 9/10/2023 and the results were excellent on ALL 12 cylinders between 140 to 155 psi on all of them. A new oil pressure sending unit was installed and the oil pressure is perfect as well. The only paint work we did was the rear pan was painted black.

We focus a lot of our time on drivability of these cars and this car is joy to drive. The engine holds temperature as our fans are wired to ignition to run all the time as we usually sell to clients in warmer climates. The temperature gauge has not gone over the in the middle of  “Normal” since we have owned it and driven close to 400 miles, even on the hottest NC days of 95 degrees plus. It is easy to drive and power steering is effortless and makes driving a pleasure. The automatic gearbox shifts nicely and does not clunk into gear or downshifting. The brakes feel good and the car stops straight. There are no vibrations in the steering wheel at any speed or over bumps. This Jaguar handles and turns very precise. She has excellent power and blows by modern traffic with ease. This car is so smooth that you will barely notice you are cruising at 75mph. There are no unusual noises coming from this car on driving, hard braking or on turns. It starts with ease does not need full choke to fire. This is one of our favorite Jaguar E-type V-12s we have owned and is a pleasure to drive anywhere. Overall, any potential buyer would be hard pressed to find a better original Jaguar E-type V-12 Roadster that is completely sorted, ready to go and has the meticulously maintained history this car has.
