The XK received a facelift in 2009, with minor alterations to front and rear lights and bumper designs, together with the introduction of a new 5.0-litre V8 for both the naturally aspirated XK and the supercharged XKR. The interior also received some changes, in particular the introduction of the XF style rotary gear selector mated to the new ZF automatic transmission. In 2010, Jaguar added the Speed Pack option, with aerodynamic body kit and speed limiter increased to 280 km/h (174 mph), and the Black Pack, with black wheels and trim. The XK received a second and more minor facelift in 2011 with a new front bumper and light design, which was presented at the New York Auto Show
The range was extended in 2011, with the introduction of the new, powerful and rare limited production XKR-S at the Geneva Motor Show, featuring an upgraded XKR engine generating a maximum power output of 550 hp 502 lb/ft. of torque. The XKR-S badge was first used on the 2008 special edition XK. Jaguar claimed that this new version was the fastest production Jaguar ever at the time of its introduction, having a top speed of 186 mph and accelerating from 0 to 60 in 4.0 seconds.
We are proud to offer this stunning 2012 Jaguar XKR-S with only 28,105 original miles. I purchased this car in early 2021 with 20,476 miles and have kept the car in my personal car collection since. The Jaguar has a clean Carfax with no paint work or accident damage. It has been very well maintained and upgraded. During my ownership the work completed is as follows. The corresponding dates are in the gallery.
This is an exceptional Jaguar XKR-S Coupe and one of the nicest available today. The Jaguar presented here has been extremely well maintained, not be confused with several others that are pushed through inventories, or which have foregone proper maintenance. These are much underrated and underappreciated super cars for their day. They are the ultimate British muscle car with an amazing and intoxicating exhaust note. The XKR-S just sounds angry, in a good way. Furthermore, the XKR-S incorporates the timeless Ian Callum design with some aggressive and muscular design cues as well as the extremely powerful 550hp 5.0L V8 monster of an engine. In addition, these cars are reliable and comfortable cars for touring or everyday driving. One of the best and rare (only about 200 this year and less than 1,000 coupes) modern Jaguar cars made and a future collectible.
