We are excited to offer this 1969 Jaguar E-type Series 2 Roadster. This Jaguar E-type was built on August 11th of 1969 and the date of dispatch was August 21st of 1969. The XKE presented here is finished in the original color combination of Primrose Yellow with black interior. This is a matching numbers car as per the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate. It was previously owned 40 years prior to 2011. It changed hands a few times and we sold this car in 2017 and purchased it back from our client in the spring of 2026. We have service records for the past 11 years. Here is the completed work over the past, but is not limited to the following:

  • New choke cable.
  • New gear reduction starter installed.
  • Carburetors rebuilt.
  • New throttle linkage bushings installed.
  • Brand new battery.
  • New clutch hydraulics with the master and slave cylinders replaced.
  • Front wheel bearings packed and adjusted.
  • New 205/70 R15 tires installed
  • Alignment and wheel balance completed.
  • New fuel sending unit.
  • New engine mounts installed.
  • New horns installed.
  • New dash top installed.
  • New carpet set installed, but prior to installation the floors were cleaned, prepped and painted.
  • New seat belts installed.
  • New brake master cylinder installed, and all new soft lines installed.
  • Underside cleaned and degreased.
  • Stainless Steel exhaust kit installed.
  • New shift boot installed.
  • New Retro radio installed.
  • New original style steering wheel installed.
  • The switches gone through and electrical checked.
  • New fuel pump.
  • Heater box and fan motor replaced.
  • Exhaust manifolds powder coated.
  • Valve covers cleaned and powder coated.
  • Valve cover gaskets replaced.
  • A driveline service with transmission and differential fluids changed.
  • The upper and lower ball joints replaced.
  • The torsion bars adjust for correct ride height.
  • The front shocks replaced.
  • The parking brake adjusted to working properly.
  • Coolant flushed and new fluid installed.
  • A new windshield installed with new gaskets.
  • New steering rack mounts.
  • Oil and filter service.
  • New petcock installed on the radiator.
  • New headlamp switches.
  • New reverse light housing.
  • New rear license plate light installed.
  • Front brake calipers rebuilt.
  • Compression tested on 6/26/26 and the results were excellent of 150 psi to 155 psi on all 6 cylinders.

 

This is a wonderful car for someone who is looking for a nice driver. This Jaguar presents excellent and drives great. It holds temperature well, no noises coming from any of the gears and the clutch feels great. Furthermore, the ride is tight, and the steering is on point. There is no shaking at higher speeds and stops straight. This Jaguar E-type drives better than most Series 2 cars at any price. It is sure to please any enthusiast, and the next owner will be proud to call this 1969 Jaguar E-type Roadster their own.
