Description

This very special one owner 1969 Jaguar E-type Fixed Head Coupe was originally built on August 19th of 1969 and originally dispatched on September 17, 1969. It is finished in the original color combination of Regency Red with Black interior and is a matching numbers car. The original owner purchased this car from Cia De Salamanca and began its life under his care on September 19th of 1969. .  In the summer of 1972 the car arrived in the United States where it moved to Colorado and was used as a daily driver.  After having tagged along on two relocations over the past 30 years, the owner decided to complete the refurbishment of the car with the goal of returning it to the very dependable, roadworthy vehicle that it had been from years long ago. The final phase of the refurbishment in 2018  (until we purchased the car) began with a complete brake system rebuild that included a new master cylinder and servo, brake lines, discs, rotors, pads and calipers. Also both the front and rear suspension assemblies were reworked to replace all bushings, seals, boots, ball joints, tie rod ends, trailing arms and more. The clutch was replaced along with both the master and slave cylinders and new engine mounts were installed. Other new equipment improvements were a new stainless steel exhaust, an aluminum radiator, new heater pipes, new belts, cooling system hoses and Vredstein tires. The gas tank was removed, cleaned and sealed and the carburetors were rebuilt. The car came with factory air conditioning which became inoperable and an updated R-134 compatible compressor and condenser were installed along with new fittings matched to the original under dash mount box/unit. This car now has 72,896 actual miles on the odometer. The car comes with an odometer verification letter from the original owner.

We purchased this wonderful Jaguar in late 2020 and we took over the refurbishment to take the car to the next level. These are some of items we had completed recently:

  • New cap, rotor, spark plugs, ignition wires and coil.
