Description

This 1958 Jaguar XK150 Fixed Head Coupe 3.4 was built on September 26th of 1957 and the original date of dispatch was October 31 of 1957.  It is a matching numbers car according to the data plate and the included Heritage Certificate from the Jaguar Heritage Trust. We purchased this car from the same owner’s family over the past 12 years. He tinkered with the car, but rarely did it see the road.

  • The current condition is what we would call a running project car. It will drive, but it currently does not stay running long enough to go any distance.
  • The paint is older and does have several paint imperfections to be expected with a project car, such as checking with some fading marks in different areas as I will highlight in my video walk around.
  • The engine cold compression was tested on 8/14/26 and it was excellent of 145psi to 150psi on all 6 cylinders.
  • The oil pressure was close to 40 pounds on start-up.
  • New spark plugs were installed during the compression test.
  • Two new 6-volt batteries were also installed at that time. This is a positive ground car.
  • The lights work and most of the switches are operable as well as brake lights, heater motor, signals, reverse light and windshield wipers.
  • The fuel pump sounds like it is working, but the fuel system will have to be gone through as well as whatever else the car may need to get it running and driving correctly.
  • This does not seem to need a major restoration to get on the road to be a driver type of car, but this will certainly depend on how the next owner chooses to take the car.
  • There is some corrosion on the inner rocker panel, but the frame on this car looks to be solid.
  • This does come with a tool kit, a shop manual, Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate and a laminated Jaguar XK150 Maintenance Chart.
