NEW ARRIVAL/IN PROCESS: We are proud to offer this beautiful 1970 Jaguar E-type Series II Fixed Head Coupe. This Jaguar was built on October 8th of 1969 and the date of dispatch was November 5th 1969. The first owner was Mr. Cotton Guio of Big Piney in Wyoming USA.  This great car is the original color combination of Regency Red with biscuit/tan interior. It has history, receipts and correspondence going back to 1973. It was never abused and always kept up with the utmost care. We are privileged to have owned this car several times for the pas 14 years. Our original purchase of this car was in 2010 from a gentleman in NC who owned this car since the early 2000s. I then sold it to very nice collector in NY who had it for a few years, but unfortunately and unexpectedly passed away. We purchased the car back from his family and did some refresh work to the engine. We then sold the car to another nice man in Maine who had the car for the past 3 years. He enjoyed the car, but did not drive it a lot only placing less than 700 miles on the car. We then sold this Jaguar to a very nice couple near Portland, OR. They owned the car since 2015 and placed about 4,000 miles on the car. This is a very special Jaguar E-type Coupe. There are not a lot of Jaguar E-types that drive as well as this one does. It shifts perfect and handles exceptional. This is a car for someone who is going to drive it and enjoy the car! The interior was redone and looks better than new. In addition, the paint, while not brand new was redone as well and looks beautiful on the car.  Furthermore, the engine was rebuilt at 54,576 miles, but was also taken apart and refreshed in 2012 at 83,750 miles as detailed below. The car has 88,116 original miles, so to put this in perspective on a 54 year old car, it has averaged 1,631 miles per year with most of the miles placed on this car early in its life. There were only about 18,000 miles placed on this great Jaguar since 1979. The carburetors have also been rebuilt.  . Some of the work completed more recently between 2/2012 – 8/2024 mostly by our shop (not including the previous work done to this car such as engine rebuild, new interior, paint, etc.):

  •  Adjusted Valves
  • Rebuilt carburetors
  • New rings
  • Decarbonized Pistons and Valves
  •  New rod Bearings
  • New oil Pump
  • New Oil and Filter
  • Cleaned fuel tank sump
  •  New fuel pump
  • New Door Weather stripping
  • New hatch weather strip
  • New cowl weather strip
  • New Interior panel on rear hatch (had partial tear)
  • New signal flasher
  • Cleaned and detailed underside
  • Cleaned and detailed engine compartment
  • New halogen bulbs
  • New fan belts
  • New gear reduction starter
  • New Temperature sending unit
  • New fan relay
  • New radiator fan switch
  • New thermostat
  • New shocks
  • New interior felt behind seats.
  • Exhaust manifolds ceramic coated.
  •  New stainless steel exhaust installed.
  • Brake calipers rebuild.

Overall, mechanically this car is excellent. The compression is 150 to 160 psi on every cylinder and the oil pressure is also excellent. Also, it is in great shape cosmetically with an excellent body and structurally sound. The floors are solid and there is no rust on this car anywhere. It really needs nothing to be enjoyed. If you are looking for a fun Jaguar E-type to frequently drive and enjoy, this would be the perfect car for you.
