SOLD:
This 1973 Jaguar E-type Series 3 V12 Roadster was built on November 9th, 1972, and the original dispatch date was December 12th of 1972. It is finished in its original color combination of British Racing Green with Biscuit interior and has the rare matching factory removable hardtop. This E-type is a number matching Jaguar as per the Jaguar Heritage Certificate from the factory and with the corresponding data plate. This Jaguar E-type had undergone a previous comprehensive restoration, and we had commissioned a mechanical and cosmetic refresh finished in April of 2026. We purchased this stunning E-type from the previous owner’s family. This Jaguar E-type was one of his most cherished cars in his collection. We have invoices for over $30,000 invested in this car consisting of mechanical work, driving upgrades and cosmetic upgrades. The following are notes and highlights of some of the more recent work completed.
This wonderful Jaguar E-type is an exceptional driving example. It runs excellently and holds temperature perfectly, even on the hottest days. The AC blows very cold and the three speeds work as they should. The E-type presented here stops well with no pull or dragging. At high speeds there is no shaking in the steering wheel and can easily keep up with modern traffic on the highways or backroads. Furthermore, the steering does not bind, and the power steering works flawlessly. The oil pressure is perfect at idle and at speed. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and quickly. This Jaguar has a very strong engine and has plenty of pull. The acceleration is smooth, but it can be deceptively fast. We have been around these cars for a long time and know them well. This is one of the nicest Jaguar E-type Series 3 V12 cars we have ever offered.
