We are thrilled to offer this very rare 1989 Porsche 930 Turbo Cabriolet in Grand Prix White with Marine Blue interior. The Porsche 930 Turbo presented here had a production completion date of 7/20/1989 as per the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity which comes with the car. It is one of 600 cars produced for the US Market in 1989. In addition, 1989 was the only year the 930 had the highly desirable 5-speed G50, replacing the 4-speed standard on all 930 cars prior to 1989.  This wonderful car is all original with the exception of the radio (the original Blaupunkt is included with the car). This spectacular Porsche has been only driven 29,794 original miles since new. It has all original paint in excellent condition, exceptional original interior, soft top and boot cover.  The paint does not have any dings, scratches or imperfections.  The car has always been meticulously cared for and always garaged or showroom kept. It was recently gone through by Porsche specialists at a cost of $7,313.81 in February of 2023 to prepare for sale.  This car has a clean Car Fax vehicle history report. Furthermore, it has a detailed history of all owners since new and the ownership of this car is as follows:

  • Owner #1: The original owner bought the car new from Holbert Motorcars on 10/31/1989 and he resided in Loveland, Ohio. He owned the car from 1989 to 1995. He drove the car 7,000 miles total or roughly 1,000 miles per year. He had a second home in Florida where the car was during the winters. As we understand the car was shipped back and forth seasonally. He sold the car in Florida to the second owner in 1995.
  • Owner #2: The car was bought in Florida and it was shipped to Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was owned by #2 from 1195 to 1998 in New Mexico. It was driven only 1,500 miles total or 500 miles a year. It was then sold to Ooley and Blackburn (fine auto import dealer in Carmel, Indiana) in 1998. They then sold it to the President of the PCA (Porsche Club of America) of Central
  • Owner#3: (President of the PCA of Central Indiana) The car was purchased and kept in Indiana. It was owned from 1998 to 2003. He drove 14,300 miles, so took the car from 8,600 miles to 22,900 miles. This was roughly about 3,000 miles a year and mostly to PCA events, rallys etc. He was very meticulous with the car. He sold the car back to Ooley and Blackburn to market in December of 2003. At that time, the 30k mile service was performed, oil return line replaced and new tires installed.
  • Owner #4: Purchased the car from Ooley and Blackburn in May of 2004. He owned the car from 2004 to 2016. The car was driven 6,700 miles during his ownership or about 600 miles per year. All servicing of the car was performed by Frans Blam racing and some of the key service was as follows:
  • March 25k miles. Major service. Lower and align. Replace oil line, replace front and rear shocks. Replace fan belt.
  • March 2006 25.1k miles. Installed reburbished Porsche AM-FM-CD and new MB Quart speakers.
  • April 2009. 26.8k miles. Motor disassembled, parts cleaned, tested, reassembled. All gaskets, seals, etc. replaced.
  • January 2012. 28.0k miles. Full service.
  • June 2012. 28.3k miles. Oil change, replace hood and trunk shocks.
  • March 2013. 6k miles. Oil Change.
  • December 13. 28.8k miles. Major service. Engine leak test. New front brake pads. New alternator.
  • January 2014 28.8k miles. Replace muffler.
  • March 2014 28.9 miles. Replace battery. Install battery switch.
  • July 2015 29.5k miles. Replace shift bushings, steering bearings, change gear and brake fluid. Change oil.
  • Owner #5: Sold to a collector in South Carolina. He purchased from #4 on 9/17/2016. He placed roughly 300 miles on the car in 7 years. He owns several collector cars. The most recent service completed by Porsche specialists at 29,787 miles on 2/6/2023 (the car currently has 29,794)miles to prepare to offer for sale consisted of the following:
  • Replaced battery.
  • Changed engine oil and filter.
  • Changed transmission fluid.
  • Flushed and bleed brake system.
  • Flush and bleed clutch system.
  • Replaced four tires.
  • Troubleshoot speedometer not working.
  • Replace speedometer sender.
  • Troubleshoot boost system malfunction.
  • Found air valve housing seals disintegrated.
  • Remove intake/valve housing to replace valve seats.
  • Replace trunk lift supports.
  • Install relay cover in engine compartment (cover supplied by customer).
  • Replace waste gate gaskets.
  • Adjust front toe.
  • Drain fuel and add 100 gallons 93 non ethanol fuel.
  • Replace both tag light assemblies.
  • Check all fluids and tire pressure.
  • Road test.
